My name is Heidiand I am the Teen Librarian in Riverton, WY.

I am from the Denver area, where I have lived most of my life. Prior to working at the Jefferson County Public Library (and sometimes concurrently) I spent two years as a reading interventionist and one as a math interventionist in low income schools.

I’ve lived in nearly every form of housing, including a 28′ racing sloop, and am now happily settled in a little log cabin in Riverton (so I can add that to the list). I am a struggling cat lady, having only one right now, but don’t worry: I will succeed in becoming the Crazy Cat Lady. I am also an aspiring YA author.

My mother’s favorite children’s book-try not to be shocked-is Heidi. I’d be hard pressed to pick between Heidi, The Little Princess, and The Doll and the Kitten. Please don’t make me pick a favorite from YA. I can’t do it. My favorite author is Anne McCaffrey who, I’m very glad to say, introduced her son, Todd, into the world of Pern while she was alive so that he can carry on that series with his own, confident voice, even now that she’s passed.
